The game was awesome, but it ran pretty bad. 720p resolution, frame drops and installs between every act. It deserves better.
Alan Wake is a linear game and still doesn't look as good as other games out there.

If their goal is a subscription based model then it is the most likely scenario. To keep players subscibed they have to release stuff at a steady pace wich will hurt quality. Just look at the amount of garbage there is on Netflix.

Xbox never had anything. It's the sad truth. The 360 came out a year sooner of an allready long previous gen, had rrod so people had to buy it twice and PS3 wich cost like 700 dollars back then. Without these factors xbox would be dead on arrival.
It looks really good, but I still think Horizon FW holds that crown.
